Women entrepreneurship has gained importance in India in the wake of economic liberalization and globalization. Today in India many women are leaving their jobs – not to be homemakers but to become job- creating entrepreneurs. Early Childhood education sector in India has been dominated by women entrepreneurs. Kid Veda aims to provide opportunities to such women to start their own ventures. More than eighty percent of Kid Veda centers in various locations are owned and managed by women.
