Class 1
Eligibility: A child who is six years or above will be eligible for admission in Class 1. Direct admission in Class 1 without having attended at least two/three years of pre-school/home schooling is not possible.
Teaching Process
- As per the NEP 2020, preschool education is now a part of formal schooling and has been extended to Class 1 and 2 i.e. up to 8 years. .
- A child at this stage is ready for basic reading and writing activities.
- Developing basic numerical abilities is also an objective of the course in this class.
- Language games where children have to express themselves, memory games which require them to remember certain rules in words and listen and follow instructions are done to help the child’s language development.
- Here to train children to be self-sufficient, small leadership roles and responsibilities are allotted.
- Team and group activities which require cooperation and sometimes competition are included to teach numbers and rhymes.
- Written work activities are included at this stage with colorful and easy to follow worksheets.
- Each child is given a kit comprising of books, worksheets and play material designed and curated by the Kid Veda research team.
